Neutral Momentun Equation Module

NMEM

NMEM computes spatial distribution of density and pressure of each neutral species by continuum model.

Description

NMEM (Neutral Momentum Equation Module) treats a gas mixture which consists of several neutral species as a single continuous medium. It solves continuity equations for each species of the gas mixture, momentum equation and energy equation for the mixture. Density of each species, velocity, pressure and temperature of the gas mixture are provided as functions of space and time by solving these equations.

Input data

  • Specify computational domain, flow-in, flow-out and obstacles defined by two-dimen sional rectangular mesh system in Cartesian or cylindrical (axial symmetry model) coordinates.
  • Specify the following boundary conditions for flow-in for each species.
    • Distribution of flow-in velocity
    • Distribution of partile number flux

Output data

  • Spatial distributions of density, pressure and flow-velocity for each species.
  • Particle number fluxes of each species on the targets and walls.
